About Me

Hi, my name is Taylor and I am the owner of The Arch Studio! I found my start in the beauty industry first a Microblading client in 2017. I fell in love with the simple yet impactful way Microblading boosted my confidence while simplifying my daily beauty routine! Wanting to expand my career and skills, I took my first Microblading & Microshading class in Los Angeles where I earned my first certification. My goal is to help empower women by enhancing their features and framing their face, while making daily life simpler in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eyebrows

What is Microblading/Ombré Shading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that involves using a handheld tool (pen) with tiny, fine-point needles that make up a small, disposable blade. The needles finely scratch the surface of the skin creating featherweight strokes on the epidermis layer of the skin. The technique creates thin, crisp lines giving the illusion of realistic, natural hair like strokes. The ombré (also known as powder fill method) is more similar to a traditional tattoo, and involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a color and defined shape.

How do I know which service is best for me? Microblading or Ombré shading?

Microblading is best suited for people with a Dry skin type and typically looks best when you have a little bit of brow hair already but just want a fuller, natural look. Women under the age of 50 also have a better chance of the Microblading lasting longer. If you are someone with oily or combination skin, or who fills in your brows regularly with pencil or shadow to achieve a more "makeup" look, then this is the method for you! It mimics the look of filled in brows.

What is Color Correction?

For those with previous work done and do not need reshaping, only new color installation into remaining shape. Please send a picture of your brows prior to booking to make sure brow goals are achievable.

What is Brow Correction?

Brow Correction is for those with previous work done and would like to get your brows reshaped (if possible) and color corrected. Please send a picture of your brows before booking to make sure we can achieve your desired brow goals.

Do I need a touch-up? And how much does it cost?

Yes! Everyone has different skin types, tones, and densities, which is why the touch-up is very important for your artist to examine how your skin held the pigment and we can then make any adjustments at the touch-up! Touch-Up Price: 1-3 Months - $100 3-6 Months - $150 6-12 Months - $200 12-18 Months - $350 After 18 months, it will be the full price of the procedure.

How long will it last? And does it hurt?

Your brows (after touch-up) can last anywhere from 1-3 years. This also depends on your healing process and care, how active of a lifestyle you have, weather conditions, skin conditions, how often you exfoliate, age, etc. No, this process is painless! I do apply numbing cream throughout the entire procedure. Honestly, most people tend to fall asleep! Haha.

What are the requirements to get my brows done?

-Not suggested for people with Diabetes, as it takes longer to heal thus giving more opportunity for infection. -If you have a pre-existing eyebrow tattoo or permanent makeup, it must be light enough for us to cover with shading. We ask anyone with a previous eyebrow tattoo to send me an email with a picture of their eyebrows with NO makeup on, so I can evaluate. -Must not be allergic to alcohol, nickel or numbing agents. If you think you might have an allergy to our ink, numbing cream, or alcohol (which is in the ink), then you may have a reaction to our work. -Clients must be the age of 18+ to proceed with an appointment. -If you are prone to keloids, this is not recommended. -Must not have a skin condition on or near your eyebrows. This includes eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, shingles, rashes, keloid or anything else near eyebrows. -Must not be pregnant or breastfeeding. -Those with a blood disease such as HIV or Hepatitis are suggested not to proceed with the procedure. Due to difficulties of the body being able to fight infections, it would be in your best interest not to move forward with a procedure. Semi-permanent will cause numerous of injuries to the skin during ink application, so it will be a high risk of infection. -If you are going through chemotherapy, a clearance letter is required by your doctor.

What is Brow Removal?

This procedure is done by using the tool of choice, and depositing a saline based solution into the unwanted tattooed area. This process pulls unwanted pigment to the surface of the skin and lightens area. This procedure usually takes a minimum of 2 treatments, and depending on density of the pigment may take up to 6. Please send me a clear picture of the tattoo before booking so we can discuss.

What is the aftercare and how long does it takes to heal?

For the first 7 days after you get your brows done: - Keep them dry! When you shower or wash your face, wash around them and pat dry with a clean papertowel if they get wet. - Do not pick, touch, itch, or scrub area or surrounding area. - Do not expose to direct sunlight or any sort of tanning beds. - No heavy sweating or working out. -Avoid exposing your brows to excessive moisture or humid such as saunas, facials, swimming, whirlpools (at home baths), steam rooms, or steamy showers. To completely heal, I would say it takes about 14 days for the entire process. You can return to get a touch-up as early as 4 weeks after your first procedure.

Eyelashes

Am I a good canidate for lash extesions?

I would say people with medium length natural, healthy lashes are good canidates. If your lashes are too short and thin, they will most likely break off and droop when you get lash extensions.

How long do they last?

Depending if you are a daily make-up wearer, swimmer, or you work out a lot, can really depend on how long you lashes will last you. I typically see people back every 2 or 3 weeks for fills.

Should I get Volume or Classic?

Volume Lashing is a technique used to achieve a fuller, fluffier look. With this method, anywhere between 3-8 super fine extensions are fanned out and applied to a single natural lash. This is the perfect solution if you have sparse lashes or gaps, or tend to wear a lot of makeup! Classic Lashing is a technique in which a single extension is applied to one, isolated natural lash. Classic lashes are perfect for adding length and some fullness to your natural lash line. Classic lashes will give the appearance of wearing mascara.
